Internet Radio

Music.yahoo.com

This website provides internet radio and unlike most of these websites it also offers music videos. You are able to search by artist or by song and they also offer a top playlist with the most searched songs or artists. This websites allows people to choose certain genres and to skip through videos. One of the only disadvantages is that you have to have a yahoo account to be able to skip through the radio part of this site. You can't save songs but you can flag the ones you like. This site makes money through advertising. Before every couple songs there is a short clip that has advertising before you get to hear the actual song. You can also buy music through the site. There is also a subscription service available. It is mainly the typical music that the majority of people listen to such as rap, hip hop, country, pop, and rock. they did not provide a celebrity playlist, but after the song you can rate it and they provide they top rated songs. There isn't a particular site for artists but you can search for a particular one and have the songs they offer. There isn't anything necessarily unique about this site. It offers free music videos and with a certain amount paid it offers unlimited skips and no commercials. It also has Music News, blogs and has a whole lot more going on than other sites such as pandora or slacker.

I personally like the yahoo music site. It's really the only one I sus regularly. I don't always have time to watch TV so I like that there are music videos and that you can skip through songs on the site. The only downside is listening to the commercials and advertisements between songs.
